About the Park is a national park in Tanzania with a size of 1,990 km² and was established in 1992, the distance from Dar es Salaam Tanzania to the park is 350Km and is not far from Mikumi National Park

The biodiversity of this park is by far one of Tanzania’s most special features. Habitats include mountain forests, tropical rainforests, Miombo woodlands, grasslands and steppe. The Udzungwa Mountains are part of the Eastern Arc Mountains which are found in Tanzania and Kenya and were formed some 200 million years ago. Today they hold a unique collection of flora and fauna and cover only 2% of Tanzania’s area but hold between 30-40% of the countries plant and mammal species.

How to Reach at Udzungwa Mountain National Park, you can use three ways which can enable you to reach at the park which you can use either Car, Train or Flight.

By using Train, The Tanzania Zambia Railway Authority, popularly known as TAZARA, is a bi-national railway linking the Southern Africa Regional transport network to Eastern Africa's seaport of Dar es Salaam railway from Dar es Salaam to Zambia departs on Tuesday and Friday per week at approximately 2pm East Africa Time. The journey to the place where the Udzungwa Mountain National Park headquarters is located is takes 6-7 hours

And by using Car drive from Dar es Salaam which is about 350Km to the park, take the Morogoro road and continue for around 4 hours through Chalinze, Morogoro and Mikumi National Park to Mikumi town. In Mikumi town, take a left turn following the signs for Ifakara and Udzungwa Mountains National Park.

And by flights Coastal operate daily flights to/from Udzungwa/Kilombero to Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar. This flight runs every afternoon and links Udzungwa to the rest of the safari circuit you can choose type of flight based on your choise you can use either Auric Air or Coastal Aviation
